Roll On - Roll Off Cargo Operation
Intermarine’s Ro-Ro vessel, the Industrial Achiever, recently loaded an oversized Re-Generator head at Industrial Terminals for the Hovensa Refinery in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Weighing 300 tons, the refinery component was positioned to the terminal in Houston via barge and subsequently rolled onto the vessel utilizing self propelled modular trailers (SPMTs).
The Industrial Achiever is a shallow draft Ro-Ro, Lo-Lo, Flo-Flo vessel with a DWT of about 4400 tons and a double skinned hold (boxtype) with a length of 86.65 meters. Its stern ramp can handle loads up to 650 tons.
