Fleet
Intermarine has at its disposal one of the most modern fleets of multipurpose heavy lift vessels. The core of the fleet is comprised of about 30 vessels featuring thirteen state-of-the-art 8,000 DWT vessels. Seven C-Class with 2 × 200 metric ton cranes combinable for 400-ton lifts, plus six newly built D-Class vessels with 2 × 250 metric ton cranes combinable for 500-ton lifts. With these vessels, cargo handling is not only efficient, but also extremely safe. Given the crane reach and open hatch design of 71 meters, all cargo is drop-stowed directly into place minimizing damage potential.
The next series of newbuildings consist of eight vessels. The first four, nominated as E-Class vessels, are similar in design as the C and D ships, but slightly larger at 10,000 DWT with 2 × 250 metric ton cranes. They commenced delivering in the Four Quarter of 2008. The next four, nominated as F-Class vessels, will be even larger with a cargo carrying capacity of 14,100 DWT and 2 × 400 metric tons cranes combinable for 800 ton lifts and one 80-ton crane. With a house forward design, the ships will have even greater flexibility for handling large modules or stacking several tiers of lightweight cargo. The first vessel, the M/V Industrial Freedom was delivered in August 2010 and the M/V Industrial Fighter in November, the remainder will follow in intervals of three months..
Following is a list of vessels utilized by Intermarine's services. This fleet, however, is not the only vessel resources available. To provide the customized service of Intermarine requires the utilization of many other specific capability ships matched to given situations. Thus, Intermarine has working agreements with many heavy lift and Ro-Ro owners, and we have become one of the largest charterers of general purpose vessels. Thus access to the right ship at the right time for the particular cargo is assured.
