Intermarine Announces GRI

Intermarine, the managing agent for Industrial Maritime Carriers, has announced that the carrier will implement a General Rate Increase (GRI) on all its services between the United States and South America effective January 25, 2008. The GRI for breakbulk cargoes for the North Coast of South America and Caribbean is $25.00 w/m; for the East Coast of South America is $30.00 w/m; and for the West Coast of South America is $35.00 w/m. All container rates have been adjusted accordingly. This GRI will apply to all inbound and outbound cargoes loaded to carrier’s vessels on or after January 25, 2008.
Intermarine is a worldwide provider of ocean transport services as well as inland heavy haul transportation services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy lift cargoes.
