Breakbulk Antwerp
June 6, 2008
Intermarine was present at the Breakbulk conference in Antwerp from May 27 - 29, 2008. The company promoted its Far East, India and Arabian Gulf FIG service and introduced its new shuttle service between India and the Arabian Gulf. Intermarine offers multiple heavy lift sailings per month from Japan, Korea, and China to Southeast Asia, India and the Arabian Nations. Using vessels capable of 400 to 500 self sustained lifts, this service is perfectly suited to meet the needs of new oil and gas facilities in the Middle East, power generation plants in Southeast Asia, and infrastructure development projects across the continent. The new shuttle line provides service to smaller out ports in India and the Arabian Gulf with feeder vessels capable of making lifts up to 100 metric tons. In addition, Intermarine is now connecting the Far East and India with South America thru relay service via Houston. Intermarine’s strong market presence in South America, as well as our own Industrial Terminals in Houston, provides the company with the ability to offer frequent and reliable service for cargoes requiring such service. Call us to find out more about our relay capabilities.
Representing Intermarine at the show in Antwerp were Alberto Mejia from Intermarine New Orleans, Paul Wilson and Greg Stangel from Intermarine Houston, James Leonard and Irene Zhu from Intermarine Shanghai, and Thomas Cord and Christian Stamp from Arkon Shipping of Hamburg, Intermarine’s commercial agent in Europe.
