Industrial Terminals Hurricane Update

September 12, 2008

To Our Valued Clients:

First, we hope this message finds you and your families well and safely out of harm’s way. We are all deeply concerned about Hurricane Ike as it approaches Houston, and are keeping a close watch on its current and projected paths.

If the present predictions hold, it appears that Hurricane Ike will strike the greater Houston area and the resulting storm surge up the Houston Ship Channel may well reach Industrial Terminals.

While Industrial Terminals has taken reasonable action under the circumstances to safeguard its premises, including cargo received prior to the storm, the possibility exists that some cargo may indeed be lost or damaged as a result of this storm.

Once the hurricane passes and the premises are deemed safe for entry, Industrial Terminals will coordinate with you and/or your appointed surveyor(s) and/or insurer(s) to provide access to your cargo to determine the extent of damage, if any.

All cargo at Industrial Terminals is subject to the terms and conditions of Industrial Terminals’ tariff, and specifically to Subrule 4 [ download a pdf of Subrule 4 ]. In the event cargo is damaged, please make first contact with your Marine Cargo Insurer. Industrial Terminals will have a surveyor available to coordinate with your Marine Cargo Surveyor.

In the meantime, if you have any specific questions regarding your cargo, please feel free to contact Intermarine’s New Orleans office at (800) 229-8701.

We will continue to monitor this situation and advise of any updates as we receive them.

We wish you and your family the best during this trying time.
