Intermarine announces that Industrial Terminals, the loadcenter for all of its Americas services, received the M/V Karin, the first vessel to dock at the terminal since hurricane Ike. The ship arrived on Thursday afternoon, September 18th, and commenced cargo operations upon arrival.

“We are extremely pleased to receive our first ship at the terminal,” commented Darce Kullman, General Manager of Industrial Terminals. “Gulf Stream Marine, our freight handler, has worked feverishly since the storm to ready the facility for cargo operations. We are also expecting the Industrial Dart and the Baltimar Euros arrive tonight.”

All three of the vessels will load for ports in the north and east coasts of South America. Cargo inspections have been continuing since Sunday and, unless specifically held by merchants, all scheduled cargoes will load as expeditiously as possible.

Industrial Terminals, located in the Houston ship Channel, is a full service breakbulk terminal with three ocean berths and round-the-clock cargo operations. Facilitating cargo deliveries is the exclusive ITEX service that allows for paperless cargo receiving.
