Containers
In addition to breakbulk services, Intermarine offers the fastest and most frequent container services to Venezuela, Colombia, and Trinidad. In fact, according to statistics from the Port Import/Export Reporting Service (PIERS) of the Journal of Commerce, Intermarine moves more containerized cargo from the U.S. Gulf to the North Coast of South America than any other carrier in the trade.
The company offers weekly liner services from Houston to the ports of Guanta, Maracaibo, Guaranao, and Puerto Cabello in Venezuela; Cartagena, Barranquilla, and Santa Marta in Colombia; and Point Lisas in Trinidad. We also offer fortnightly service to Ecuador, Peru, and Chile in the West Coast of South America thru West Coast Industrial Express (WCIE), a joint service operated by Intermarine and ATL.
Intermarine services utilize a fleet of steel containers purchased from the Venezuela Container Group (VCG) plant in Cumana, Venezuela. The services also have worldwide master lease agreements with major container leasing companies—thus making additional standard and specialized equipment readily accessible as needed.
