Brochure US Ocean [PDF]Intermarine provides US Flag heavy-lift service worldwide for project cargoes requiring such transport. The company utilizes four (4) heavy-lift vessels from its US Flag carrier affiliate US Ocean; the M/V Ocean Atlas, the M/V Ocean Titan, the M/V Ocean Charger, and the M/V Ocean Crescent. The 8,000 DWT Century Class vessels have 400 metric tons lifting capacity, about 400,000-cuft bale, box-shaped holds with tweendecks adjustable in three positions, and 16 knot service speed. The first three vessels were built in 2000 and the fourth vessel in 2002. The ships are very well suited for the movement of project/heavy-lift and military cargoes such as heat exchangers, turbines, generators, locomotives, refinery equipment and the like.
The company operates the vessels in worldwide trades seeking opportunities to carry commercial and/or government cargoes. In addition, the vessels are enrolled in the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) and MSP programs sponsored by MARAD and the Department of Defense’s sealift readiness.
